Urge Your Senators To Support The
Constitutional Option
A vote on ending the illegal, unconstitutional filibuster of
conservative judges could come within the next few days. Sadly,
due to the Soros/MoveOn.org gold-plated disinformation campaign,
calls to the Capitol are running against us.
Time is short. Please, please, please contact your Senators and
respectfully urge them to support the effort to change the
Senate rules to permit up or down votes on conservative nominees
for the federal bench. For information on how to contact your
Senators, go to the Focus On The Family Citizen Link (http://www.family.org/cforum)
and follow the instructions.
Sign The DeLay Petition
If you haven’t already done so, please go to
http://www.stopactivistjudges.org and sign The Conservative
Leadership Declaration In Support of Tom DeLay. You can add your
name to those of Dr. Dobson, Jerry Falwell, Don Wildmon, Gary
Bauer, Alan Keyes and other distinguished Americans who’ve
signed.
As you may know, the House Majority Leader is under relentless
attack for his call for judicial reform, in the aftermath of the
Terri Schiavo affair. How can we not stand by a man who time and
time again has stood up for Judeo-Christian values?
I intend to present a framed copy of the Declaration to Mr.
DeLay on May 12th at a Washington, DC testimonial dinner for the
Majority Leader. Please take the time to add your voice to ours.
National Day of Prayer
The president and the governors of all 50 states have proclaimed
May 5th the 54th annual National Day of Prayer. This year’s
theme is “God Shed His Grace on Thee” and is based on Hebrews
4:16 NIV – “Let us then approach the throne of grace with
confidence so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help
us in our time of need.”
The first National Day of Prayer was established before the
United States was established – by proclamation of the
Continental Congress in 1775. An annual National Day of Prayer
was started in 1952. In 1988, the first Thursday in May was
designated The National Day of Prayer.
There’s so much that we need to pray for this year – for our
nation, for our leaders, for our families and for a return to
the Godly values that made America the wonder of the world.
For information on how you can be involved with a National Day
of Prayer observance in your area, go to
http://www.nationaldayofprayer.org.
