DEADLY AND DETERMINED--THE LEFT'S RELENTLESS ASSAULT ON DECENCY
That's the only way I know to describe the left's
unwillingness to understand that the majority of American's
still believe that homosexuality is a moral choice that they oppose
and do not want forced upon them or their children. Yet every time we
turn them back, they return with a new approach. Earlier this year
millions of Americans said no to hate crimes legislation which
provided special status to homosexuals. Our sources in Washington tell
us this horrible affront to free speech and freedom of religion is
about to surface again so be prepared. We will keep you informed with
up to the minute developments.
This time it's ENDA, which is an acronym for Employers
Non-discrimination Act. While it sounds so fair and innocent, once you
take a closer look you realize that once again, homosexuals and their
allies in Congress are seeking to force people of faith to affirm and
even participate in what we clearly believe to be wrong, based on our
theological convictions.

FIRST EVET VALUES VOTER'S DEBATE DECLARED A SUCCESS
More than 2,000 Values Voters from across America converged on the
Broward County Center for the Performing Arts, paying their own
expenses to say, "We will vote and we demand a candidate that
reflects our values."
The debate, which was carried live across the nation by Sky Angel
Network and streamed live over the Internet, was professionally taped
and has been converted into a real-time Values Voter's Voting
Guide, which will be available soon over our website and distributed
by more than 40 Pro-family organizations which participated in the
debate. Other major ministries and pro-family organizations who were
not present have also promised to distribute the guide. This will
provide you with the tools your need to educate yourself and your
friends as to what the candidates believe and will enable concerned
Americans to assess for themselves whether there are candidates who
"get it" regarding matters that are dear to Christians.
Every question which we used in our recent poll was used in the course of the evening, as more than 40 different leaders of conservative organizations asked questions of the candidates.

Four Republican candidates and all the Democratic candidates chose to
ignore the largest voting block in America. Rudy Giuliani was in Ft.
Lauderdale but decided he could secure the nomination of the
Republican Party without facing the likes of Phyllis Schlafly and Paul
Weyrich. John McCain, Fred Thompson and Mitt Romney were also
no-shows. Time will tell if they will be able to move forward without
our support, or achieve their goal of winning the nomination while
ignoring such a dedicated and motivated voting block.
SENATOR CORNYN REINTRODUCES HIS SENSE OF THE SENATE RESOLUTION COMMENDING GENERAL PETRAEUS
Senator John Cornyn, this year's recipient of Vision America's
National Hero of the Faith Award--given each year at our annual Gala
to a national leader who best represents the values of Vision
America--rose to the floor of the Senate late yesterday and offered
his resolution commending the courage and leadership of General David
Petraeus, who was slandered last week in the New York Times by the

RICK SCARBOROUGH MINISTRY REPORT
Dear friends and supporters,
Your prayers, words of encouragement and gifts mean more than you will
ever know. The past two weeks have taken me from Cincinnati, Ohio, to
Washington DC, to Alabama and back to southeast Texas for rallies and
One Day Crusades. The results have been encouraging and challenging at the same time.
In Washington DC, I attended a series of strategy meetings with over
40 pro-family organizational leaders. We heard from allies in
government as well as reports from paid professionals who study trends
in the culture, and I have to report, what we heard from the front
lines was not encouraging. One thing we must never forget about Satan
is he is tireless in his pursuit of evil, and many who reject our
values unwittingly play into his hands.
As I listened to report after report for two full days, I was mindful
of how willing the left is to wield power when they have it.
Christians are reminded by their conscience as well as their enemies
that our basic tenet is love, and we mistakenly understand that to
mean that we should never get angry and always be wary of power.
Consequently, we are reticent to use power, even when we have it.
The left is not shackled with such. Every gain we have achieved over
the past 15 years we are now in danger of losing, primarily because so
many who share our values are disengaged. This trend must be reversed immediately.
In Enterprise, Alabama, we had an enthusiastic crowd for our One Day
Crusade. Again, in Southeast Texas, on the anniversary of 9-11, we
witnessed a dedicated assembly of true believers who want America to
remain strong and free.
Perhaps by now you have heard that my good friend and colleague, Dr.
Alan Keyes, has decided to seek the Republican nomination. While I
cannot endorse his candidacy, I can strongly endorse his character and
love for this nation and I wish him well. He will bring a strong
witness for our values to the debates across the nation.
Dr. Keyes can no longer participate in our One Day Crusades due to his being a candidate. I have been advised by legal experts that as long as he is a candidate for federal office, he cannot be a spokesman for Vision America nor can Vision America sponsor events where he is speaking due to IRS and Federal Election Commission guidelines. Consequently, we are in the process of communicating this change of line-up with all of our event hosts.
Chaplain Klingenschmitt and I will continue our crusades across

Dr. Keyes were prohibitive due to the size of our team, perhaps you
