Vote Your Values Bus Tour- Richmond Pastors Luncheon

RICHMOND, Va.—The candidates know that Christian voters and the influence of churches will be pivotal for this historic election.

And Vision America Action (VAA, www.vaaction.org) realizes this as well, which is why the organization is urging church leaders to unite, rally and mobilize their congregations before Nov. 8.

VAA, along with S.T.A.N.D (Staying True to America’s National Destiny) is hitting the road for the Vote Your Values Christian Awakening Tour, which will stop in Richmond.

During the event, Vision America Action President Dr. Rick Scarborough and S.T.A.N.D. leader Bishop E.W. Jackson will speak to pastors and church leaders, reminding them of their Christian duty to vote and encouraging them to get out the vote this November. Voter registration information and election toolkits will also be available.

Now more than ever, Christians must take their values to the polls and elect candidates who will uphold and protect biblical principles, especially as it’s likely that at least one—if not more—Supreme Court justice will be appointed during the next president’s term.

Rick Scarborough, president of Vision America Action, served as the senior pastor of First Baptist Church of Pearland, Texas, from 1990 to 2002. During his 12-year ministry there, the church baptized more than 2,000 people and relocated to a new 27-acre campus. He was also a full-time evangelist, preaching more than 500 revival crusades.

Bishop E.W. Jackson Sr. is the founder of S.T.A.N.D. (Staying True to America’s National Destiny), a national grassroots organization dedicated to restoring America’s Judeo-Christian history. He is also author of the book, “Ten Commandments to an Extraordinary Life” and founder of Exodus Faith Ministries.

Vision America has a mission is to inform, encourage and mobilize pastors and their congregations to be proactive in restoring Judeo-Christian values to the moral and civic framework in their communities, states, and our nation.
