While our leaders laud Islam as the “religion of peace,” a group called the United Muslim Nations International says it will “wipe Christianity (and Christians?) from the face of the earth.”

 

In a 23-page monograph on its website (“The Global Islamic Civilization: The Power of A Nation Revived”), the organization sets forth its agenda in chilling terms. Its leader, Sheik Farook al-Mohammedi says: “Christianity should be destroyed and wiped off the face of the earth (because) it is an evil, demonic…system.” Al-Mohammedi boasts: “The Revived Global Caliphate has set eyes on the West to once and for all rid the world of Christianity and there is nothing you can do about it.”

 

These words are given terrifying force by developments throughout the Islamic world. As once moderate nations become more Muslim, Christians are imperiled.

 

 Coptic Christians have lived in Egypt since the first century – more than 600 years before the birth of Muhammad. While suffering periodic pogroms in the 20th century, their situation has grown increasingly bleak since the fall of Mubarak and rise of the Muslim Brotherhood. Coptic churches have been bombed and Copts gunned down leaving services.

 

Still, the U.S. State Department refuses to list Egypt as a “country of particular concern” due to the persecution of Christians. The Obama administration is has voiced its concern, loud and often, regarding opposition to gay “rights” in the Third World, but its silence regarding the slaughter of Christians is as deafening as it disturbing.

 

More than 9,000 Christians have fled the Syrian city of Qusayr, after radicalization of the local populace by armed gangs opposed to the ruling regime. In early June, some mosques in the city began broadcasting the message: “Christians must leave Qusayr within six days, which expires this Friday.”

 

This past weekend, at least 58 Christians were murdered in the latest Muslim attacks on villages near the Nigerian city of Jos. In a nation divided between the Islamic north and Christian south, militants are determined to create a state under Sharia law. Over the past few years, thousands of defenseless men, women and children have been hacked to death with machetes.

 

The above all are victims of a cult  our president -- who was raised in Muslim Indonesia – refuses to acknowledge is capable of such atrocities…preferring to call it a religion of peace. From his 2009 Cairo speech (where he claimed “America is not a Christian nation”), President Obama has shown his disdain for Christianity and partiality for Islam.

 

While he refuses to have National Day of Prayer services in the White House, the president never misses a chance to celebrate an Islamic holiday with a state dinner. The obvious connections between Islam and terrorism are studiously ignored. (Obama called the Ft. Hood massacre “incomprehensible,” while his justice department referred to it as simply, “work place violence”)  In Egypt and Libya, the administration facilitated the Muslim Brotherhood’s rise to power, placing Israel in the gravest danger she has faced since the Six Day War.

 

Far from being idle boasting, the rhetoric of the United Muslim Nations International is very much in keeping with the reality of Islam.

 

Islam isn’t just another false religion, but a murderous cult whose power and influence waxes worldwide. Due to Muslim immigration, Europe (which was known as Christendom for a millennium) will soon be Muslim. In Dearborn, Michigan, Muslims assault Christians in the streets while the police look on. It appears to anyone who looks on objectively that Hollywood, which goes out of its way to smear Christians, is sympathetic toward the left’s favorite “religion.”

 

In the 1930s, most educated Europeans dismissed Hitler’s speeches as the ravings of a madman. Once in power, the lunatic launched a war that resulted in 60 million deaths to make his insane vision a reality.

 

How many times must we learn this lesson of history before we begin taking evil madmen seriously?

 

When groups like the United Muslim Nations International say they’ll “wipe Christianity from the face of the earth,” it’s no hollow threat. The expansion of Islam in the West, the slaughter of Christians in the Third World and 13 centuries of Muslim history underscore the fact that we are dealing with millions of very determined madmen.

 

Many like to point out that 90% of all Muslims want to live in peace. But they fail to realize that 10% equates to more than 120 million radical Islamists who have taken an oath to kill all Jews and Christians. 

 

Now, more than ever, people of faith everywhere should be praying for Christians in the Muslim world and particularly those in the Middle East. Their very existence depends on it.
